About SIKMA

We exists to carry the Living Word to every nation — so that all may know Christ, follow Him, and be gathered as one.

Not every tribe, people group, nation, or language has yet come to believe in Christ. This is the shared mission of the Body of Christ, of which Sikma is a part of: to prepare every people group for entry into the Kingdom of the Father, where all may read, hear, believe, and join the great multitude who will one day worship before the throne of the Father.

The Meaning of SIKMA in the Bible

Prosperity and Abundance

The sycamore tree is often associated with growth and prosperity because its wood was widely used for construction and was known for its durability. In 1 Kings 10:27, it is mentioned that during King Solomon’s reign, sycamore fig trees were as abundant as cedars in the hills.

Humility and God’s Calling

Amos 7:14 mentions that the prophet Amos was a caretaker of sycamore fig trees before being called by God to be a prophet. This shows how God can choose ordinary people for great tasks.

Generosity

In Luke 19:4, Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus, which then transformed his life. This symbolizes how someone who thirsts for God can seek and find Him. Zacchaeus represents generosity.
